  • 1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 12 oz high-quality melting chocolate or candy melts
  • colorful sprinkles or crushed nuts for decoration (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, oil, and water. Stir until smooth.
  3. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
  4. Crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs in a large bowl.
  5. Gradually mix in frosting until you achieve a dough-like consistency.
  6. Roll mixture into balls (about 1 tablespoon each) and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  7. Melt the chocolate coating according to package instructions. Dip the end of each pop stick in melted chocolate before inserting it into each ball.
  8. Dip each ball into the melted chocolate until fully coated, allowing excess to drip off. Add sprinkles while still wet.
  9. Place back on parchment paper and refrigerate until set (15-20 minutes).
