  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one by one, mixing well after each.
  3. Sift in cocoa powder and flour; stir until just combined.
  4. In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese with sugar until creamy, then mix in vanilla extract.
  5. Pour half the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Spoon dollops of cheesecake mixture on top and swirl gently with a knife.
  6. Spread remaining brownie batter over the cheesecake layer and bake for 30-35 minutes or until mostly clean when tested with a toothpick.
  7. Cool before slicing into squares and enjoy!
